One of the actors from Breaking Bad was arrested, and the charges he faces were leaked.

He was detained in Los Angeles and, after paying bail, was released, but he will have to appear in court again

Raymond Cruz, the actor who portrayed the memorable and feared drug trafficker Tuco Salamanca in the successful series Breaking Bad, was arrested Monday morning in Los Angeles after being involved in an altercation with a neighbor. According to official sources, he faces charges of misdemeanor assault.

The incident took place in a residential neighborhood of the Californian city, where Cruz has lived for several years. According to the report released by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the conflict began after an argument with a woman, the actor's neighbor, during an alleged dispute over space on the public road.

What happened and why was he arrested?

Officer David Cuellar, spokesperson for the LAPD, explained to the U.S. media outlet People that Cruz was accused of spraying a woman with water during the argument, which prompted police intervention. "There was a dispute with the victim, a woman, which is when Cruz allegedly sprayed her with water," Cuellar stated.

The actor's manager, Raphael Berko, provided an alternative version of the episode. According to his account, Cruz was washing his car in front of his home when a minivan with three women parked very close to the vehicle. Due to the lack of space, the actor asked them to move the car. However, the exchange escalated when the women began recording him with their phones.

"The actor asked them not to film him. While he continued spraying the car with the hose, some of the water reached their vehicle. Then, one of the women decided to call the police," Berko explained.

Despite being handcuffed and taken to the police station, Cruz did not resist and, according to his representative, remained calm during the five hours he was detained. "Raymond is very grateful to all the staff at the Los Angeles Police Department. Everyone was very kind and alert to him," Berko stated.

The media outlet TMZ, which accessed the court documents, confirmed that Cruz was released on his own recognizance and will have to appear again before the court next October 1. He faces misdemeanor assault charges, classified as a "misdemeanor" for allegedly causing minor injuries.
