Complaints about the non-payment of IOMA to providers in the province of Buenos Aires continue to accumulate and have now reached the Hemodynamics Service of the Hospital Pedro T. Orellana, in Trenque Lauquen.

The professionals in the service decided to suspend scheduled care for the affiliates of the provincial health insurance due to the lack of regularization of payments by the Government of Axel Kicillof, corresponding to services rendered over the past year.

This measure adds to other complaints recorded in the Province by providers against the Kirchnerist administration, and they warn about the difficulties they are facing due to the lack of payments. In recent cases, several day centers in La Plata even threatened to interrupt their services and close their doors.

In the case of the hospital in Trenque Lauquen, the members of the Hemodynamics Service indicated that the decision is directly related to the crisis generated by Kicillof's non-payment.

They explained that there is "a lack of regularization of the payments corresponding to the services provided over the last twelve months", while warning that “the situation has become unsustainable for the normal functioning of the service.”

The professionals clarified that the suspension of scheduled services is not intended to affect IOMA affiliates, but rather constitutes a measure adopted in response to the lack of answers regarding the accumulated debt.

“This decision is not aimed at IOMA affiliates. On the contrary, we fully understand the situation of the patients and deeply regret having to reach this point. Our intention is to continue providing and offering high-complexity services in our city that often require patients to travel to other locations,” expressed the hospital professionals.

Despite the suspension of scheduled appointments, the Hemodynamics Service reported that it will maintain care for situations requiring an immediate response. In this regard, they emphasized that emergencies and urgent cases "will continue to be attended to, demonstrating the willingness to find a solution through dialogue with the relevant authorities."

The service members also indicated that the conflict has already been raised with political representatives. They expressed that "the situation has already been brought to the attention of political representatives, who have shown their willingness to intervene and collaborate to find a solution to the conflict.”

Demand for a situation that has lasted a year

The complaint was also publicly voiced by Darío Cavalié, Interventional Cardiologist and member of the Hemodynamics Service staff at the Hospital Pedro T. Orellana. Through his social media, the professional questioned the lack of responses to repeated requests to regularize payments.

In his message, Cavalié stated that the complaint has been ongoing for months without finding a solution. "We have been asking for a year for the situation to be regularized, through various channels, but we have not received a response", affirmed the Interventional Cardiologist.

The professional also expressed the impact that the situation has on the functioning of the service and asked for understanding from the community regarding the decision to suspend scheduled care for IOMA affiliates.

"This is becoming unsustainable and we hope the community understands us because it is a measure that pains us", concluded Cavalié.
