Three men were arrested for cattle theft in an operation by the Northern Rural Patrol, carried out on the outskirts of San Francisco. The procedure was completed this Tuesday afternoon, following a cattle rustling investigation that was tracking animals stolen in the area. In the bed of a Chevrolet S10 pickup truck, officers found five lambs that had been reported as stolen.
The intervention took place on a rural road near Monte Redondo, where the agents managed to stop the suspicious vehicle. The three occupants, two residing in Frontera (Santa Fe) and one in San Francisco, were immediately apprehended. Both the vehicle and the recovered animals were seized by court order.
Police sources reported that the detainees were taken to the headquarters of the Northern Rural Patrol, where they remained at the disposal of the Justice Department. The animals were returned to their owner, while proceedings continue to determine the origin of the rest of the reported livestock.
