The family of Antonio Barijho, idol of Boca, reassured Xeneize fans after the cardiac crisis he suffered on Wednesday, which required his transfer by ambulance to a clinic.
The coach of the blue and gold youth divisions received immediate medical attention and today made a public appearance through a post by his son on Instagram. "Thank you very much to everyone who was concerned about my dad's health. Thank God, everything turned out well. There's Chipi for a long time," wrote Jonathan Barijho, the coach's son.

The former striker who came up through Huracán, two-time champion of America and the world with Carlos Bianchi at Boca, underwent angioplasty with stent placement. The procedure was successful and he is now recovering with his family.
The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon, when Barijho felt chest pain while preparing to watch a Boca Reserve match against Newell's at the Ezeiza complex. After the initial examination, the club's doctors decided to transfer him in the ambulance assigned to the match, which delayed the start of the game.
Who is Barijho
Chipi, 48 years old, has worked in Xeneize's youth divisions since 2019, brought in under Nicolás Burdisso's management as sporting director. His first task was to coach the fourth division alongside Héctor Bracamonte.
As a footballer, he had a distinguished career at Huracán, Boca, Banfield, and Independiente, and played abroad for Grasshopper of Switzerland, Saturn of Russia, and Barcelona of Ecuador. He retired in 2009 at Deportivo Merlo.
