Trump announced the signing of a trade agreement with China and ended the trade war.

The President of the United States recently announced that he has signed a trade agreement with the Asian country

President Donald Trump stated on Thursday that the United States had signed a trade agreement with China this Wednesday, although he did not offer specific details about its content or terms.

The announcement was made during an event at the White House focused on promoting a government spending bill that Trump wanted Congress to approve before the July 4 holiday.

During his speech, Trump did not elaborate on the agreement or clarify whether it was a new trade deal or a continuation of previous understandings between both countries. The statement caused maximum expectations, since there was no immediate official confirmation from either China or the United States Department of Commerce.

Additionally, Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Commerce, stated that the agreement with China was "signed and sealed" two days earlier, reinforcing the notion that there was significant progress in trade relations between both powers. However, the lack of concrete information has led the press and analysts to remain cautious regarding the actual scope of the agreement.

It is worth noting that during his term, Trump made trade with China one of his main priorities, imposing tariffs and renegotiating conditions with the goal of reducing the United States trade deficit and protecting domestic industries.

This new statement suggests a possible move in that direction, although official confirmation and additional details are still expected to assess its impact.
