Trump threatens to strip Democratic comedian Rosie O'Donnell of her citizenship

The President of the United States fired back at the Democrat after the repeated criticism of the country by the 'comedian.'

President Donald Trump once again put comedian Rosie O'Donnell at the center of the debate this Saturday by suggesting on his Truth Social network that he is considering revoking her U.S. citizenship.

"Since Rosie O'Donnell is not in the best interest of our Great Country, I'm seriously considering taking away her citizenship. She is a threat to humanity and should stay in the wonderful country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!" Trump wrote.

The declining comedian has been a fierce critic of Trump for almost two decades, when she began attacking him on national television. Since then, she has repeatedly used her platform to denigrate the current president.

O'Donnell moves to Ireland until Trump leaves office

The post comes after O'Donnellconfirmed in Marchthat she moved to Ireland in January and that she would not return to the United States until Trump is removed from office.

The comedian also revealed that she is in the process of obtaining Irish citizenship, something that has been seen by her detractors as a symbolic rejection of her country of origin.

For Trump and the American people, these kinds of statements reinforce the perception that many left-wing celebrities, like O'Donnell, are more loyal to their ideological agendas than to the well-being of the country.

Her decision to leave the United States while continuing to attack the nation from abroad has caused strong rejection among conservatives and supporters of the president, as well as among American citizens.

Not even Ireland wants her

During a meeting in March with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, Trump did not avoid the topic: "Why would they let Rosie O'Donnell move to Ireland? I think she's going to lower their happiness levels," the president joked.

Although constitutionally the president doesn't have the authority to revoke the citizenship of those born in the United States, as is the case with O'Donnell, Trump's political gesture has been interpreted as a rejection of the hypocrisy of celebrities who take advantage of the benefits of being American while spreading negative narratives about the country overseas.
