The arrival of Yanina Latorre to MasterChef Celebrity (Telefe) not only changed the dynamics of the competition inside the kitchen, but also created an atmosphere of camaraderie, humor, and complicity among the participants that quickly began to be reflected off camera. In that relaxed context, amid informal conversations and backstage jokes, an unexpected nickname was born that soon went viral on social media.

The episode took place during a lunch shared among the contestants, far from the pressure of the clock and the judges' feedback. It was Evangelina Anderson who recorded the moment and shared it in her Instagram stories, showing a laid-back scene from behind the scenes of the reality show.

In the video, viewers can see Chino Leunis eating fruit while he talks with the rest of the group. "I have some fruit that Yanina Latorre brought", he comments, before exaggerating an alleged physical discomfort: he grabs his neck, opens his eyes wide, and pretends to collapse in front of everyone. The improvised performance triggered immediate laughter and led to the comment that would end up sealing the nickname.

"Who? Yiya Murano? Yiya Latorre? Oh, what's wrong with you? What's wrong with you?", Evangelina exclaimed amid laughter. The remark, loaded with dark humor, made a direct reference to Yiya Murano, the sadly notorious "poisoner of Monserrat", who was convicted in the 1980s for the murder of three friends with cyanide.

The comparison, exaggerated and completely fictional, worked as the perfect punchline for the improvised sketch. The idea that Yanina had "poisoned" Chino's fruit turned a simple lunch into a scene worthy of a comedy, and the nickname "Yiya Latorre" stuck amid laughter and complicity.

This relaxed atmosphere contrasts with Yanina's intense television debut on the show, which was marked by sharp clashes with Wanda Nara. Latorre joined the competition as Maxi López's temporary replacement, and she was introduced by the host in a conspiratorial tone: "I called a great friend for this replacement, come on in Yanina Latorre", Wanda said before greeting her with a hug.

However, the harmony did not last long. As soon as the medal was mentioned—the benefit left by Claudia Villafañe as the winner of the previous gala—Yanina launched her first barbed remark: "I still don't trust you, who knows what benefit I'll get". Amid laughter, both Wanda and Damián Betular agreed: "You're right to do so".
