The city, located in the central-southern part of the province, is organizing a new edition of Villa María Exporta, an event that represents a strategic opportunity for companies in the region
Villa María will once again become one of the main centers for international business in the interior of the country with the realization of a new edition of Villa María Exporta, a meeting that represents a strategic opportunity for companies in the city and the region to expand their markets and secure new exports.
From September 9 to 11, the city will host importers from America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, who will hold business meetings with Argentine firms in the food sector in search of new suppliers and value-added products.
The arrival of buyers from Algeria, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Spain, Norway, and India positions Villa María once again as an international showcase for SMEs, especially those linked to the agri-food industry, one of the economic engines of the region.
An opportunity to grow beyond the domestic market
In a context where many companies seek to diversify their commercial destinations, the international round appears as a concrete tool to access new clients without the need to travel abroad.
The reverse mission format allows the buyers themselves to come to Córdoba to learn about the productive offer, analyze the quality of the products, and establish direct business contacts.
In addition to the traditional B2B meetings, this edition will incorporate one of the main novelties of the event: a "Export Supermarket," a space designed to showcase products in a more dynamic way and facilitate contact between the Córdoba offer and international demand.
Villa María consolidates its export profile
From the ProCórdoba Agency, they emphasize that the choice of Villa María as the venue is not coincidental.
The city concentrates one of the most important agri-industrial regions in Argentina, with a network of companies dedicated to the production of food, dairy, meat, cereals, machinery, and high value-added products, making it a strategic hub for international business.
Business meetings will be assigned according to the export profile of each company registered in the ProCórdoba Exportable Offer Directory, a methodology that seeks to maximize the possibilities of generating concrete agreements between buyers and sellers.
SMEs, the main protagonists
One of the most valued aspects of Villa María Exporta is that it brings global opportunities to small and medium-sized enterprises that, in many cases, are making their first experiences in internationalization.
From AERCA, they emphasize that the historical objective of the event has been to support SMEs in their export process, providing them with direct access to markets that would otherwise be difficult to reach due to the high costs of participating in international fairs.
Background that fuels expectations
Expectations for this edition are high following the results obtained in 2025, when 62 national companies, 16 importers from 10 markets participated, and 475 business meetings were held, in addition to technical visits to industrial plants in the region. This performance consolidated Villa María Exporta as one of the most important international business rounds in the interior of Argentina for the agri-food sector.
With buyers from four continents and an agenda focused exclusively on generating business, Villa María will seek to reaffirm its status as an export platform for Córdoba companies in September. For many firms in the city and the region, the meeting represents much more than a commercial round: it can be the gateway to new international markets and the beginning of business relationships capable of driving their growth in the coming years.
