Mario Pergolini's warning before his debut on El Trece: 'If things go badly for us...'

Without fear of ratings, Pergolini returns to TV with a different proposal and a phrase that sparked conversation

After years away from the small screen, Mario Pergolini returns to broadcast television with a proposal that aims to break established norms.

The host will premiere the show Otro día perdido on El Trece in July and has already made it clear what he thinks if things don't go well.

Why is Pergolini returning to television?

In an interview with Nacho Girón on CNN Radio, Pergolini explained how his return came about. Everything started after a conversation with Adrián Suar and Diego Guebel, where they proposed betting on more prestigious TV.

"We don't believe television is dead, but it does have a problem," he said they told him. From there, he decided to join the project.

What he aims to recover with this new cycle

According to the former CQC host, the idea is to return to broadcast television with more production, better sets, and higher sound quality. These are elements that, according to him, are quite neglected today.

"I'm coming back to recover that special little something that broadcast television once had," the host explained about the spirit of the show.

A proposal different from what is seen today

"I want to say: ladies and gentlemen, let's take a little step back. I'm here to offer you something that hasn't been on television lately," he said.

Pergolini's bet is clear: to break with the standard and offer content that stands out from the rest.

The warning if the show fails

Without mincing words, Pergolini left a statement that's already causing a stir: "If things go badly for us, it was a pleasure. I had a great time. You're dead, goodbye".

Far from feeling pressured by ratings, the host says his return doesn't depend on success, but on enjoying the experience.

When and where his new show premieres

Otro día perdido will premiere in July on El Trece. The exact time hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's already anticipated as one of the most awaited comebacks of the year.

With his sharp and ironic style, Pergolini promises to make waves and shake up the channel's line-up with a format that aims to stand out.
