What did Roberto García Moritán say about Pampita and Martín Pepa's separation?

The former legislator found out about the breakup live and was blunt when commenting on the media exposure of the relationship

Last Monday, the unexpected news broke: Carolina "Pampita" Ardohain and Martín Pepa had ended their relationship after eight months of dating.

Although both had avoided exposing their relationship too much, the breakup caused a strong reaction in the media and quickly reached Roberto García Moritán's ears.

The businessman, the model's ex-husband and father of her daughter Ana, found out about the end of the romance live during his appearance on Lape Club Social (América TV).

While he was talking about his current work and the good relationship he keeps with Ardohain, journalist Paula Varela interrupted him with an unexpected revelation: "They just broke up. I don't know if she told you that or if I'm giving you the news."

Surprised, García Moritán reacted with a question that reflected his total lack of knowledge about the subject: "Is it true?" After the confirmation on air, he added: "Yes, I'm surprised. I didn't know, we don't talk about those things."

Minutes later, in response to insinuations about a possible knowing smile, the former legislator chose to clarify his position: "No, don't make interpretations... I try to set a limit because I prefer to talk about my vocation. I'm tired of talking about myself and my issues, but I understand that the question always has to come up. I hope everything turns out well."

The next day, during his visit to the show Mujeres Argentinas (El Trece), panelist Gustavo Méndez asked him again about the model's current romantic situation.

García Moritán didn't avoid the question, but he was clear in his response: "I don't talk to her about these topics.  We only talk about the kids, about Ana mainly, for obvious reasons. Meanwhile, the little I knew about this relationship was from the media."

Even though he wasn't aware of the details, he made it clear whose side he's on: "Of course, I'm always going to be on Caro's side."

When the possibility was mentioned that Pepa might have taken advantage of Ardohain's fame to gain visibility, García Moritán was blunt: "He never understood who Caro was. He says he enjoyed the flashes, but he didn't enjoy the rest."

With experience in media exposure, the businessman reflected on the consequences of being in a relationship with such a popular figure: "It comes with costs and it seems to me, from what I'm understanding, with costs Pepa's family didn't want to deal with"
