The figure of Jeffrey Epstein returned to the center of the international stage after the massive release of new official files linked to his case. The United States Department of Justice released thousands of documents related to the financier, who was convicted of sex crimes and accused of leading a network of abuse and trafficking of minors, in compliance with a recent transparency law approved by Congress.
The release of this material included court records, criminal investigation documents, photographs, and footage obtained by the FBI during raids on Epstein's properties in New York and in the United States Virgin Islands.
Although a significant portion of the information remains redacted in order to protect the victims and not hinder ongoing investigations, the content that was released once again caused an impact because of the names that appear associated with the businessman's circle.

According to the authorities, the files comprise unclassified materials linked both to Epstein and to his ex-partner and associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted for her role in the recruitment and sexual trafficking of teenagers. Part of the documentation had already been mentioned in previous civil and criminal cases, but this new package expanded the volume of images and records that were known.
Among the elements that drew the most attention are photographs and references that show Epstein at social events, private meetings, or trips alongside high-profile figures from the worlds of entertainment, politics, and business. The appearance of these names, however, doesn't mean that the individuals committed crimes or that they are being criminally investigated.
Mick Jagger es una de las figuras que aparece en los archivos
Among the celebrities who appear in the files or in images released over the years are former United States President Bill Clinton; Prince Andrew of England (Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor); Sarah Ferguson; musician Mick Jagger; businessman Richard Branson; actor Kevin Spacey; illusionist David Copperfield; journalist Walter Cronkite; and actors Michael Jackson —who died in 2009— and Chris Tucker. In several cases, the images correspond to public events, shared flights, or documented social gatherings.
The authorities clarified that a large part of the sensitive information was redacted. No content was published that could compromise national security, affect United States foreign policy, or reveal data that would make it possible to identify the victims. Even so, the documents open new lines of analysis regarding the scope of Epstein's relationships and his ability to move in circles of power for years.
