Xbox Game Pass removes 8 games on June 30: the full list

Xbox Game Pass will update its catalog on June 30 with the removal of eight titles. Among them is Payday 2, one of the oldest games on the service, which has been available for over nine years.

In addition to Payday 2, seven other games from various genres will leave the catalog. Microsoft also confirmed that June will end with more additions than removals and that new releases are already scheduled for July.

Which games are leaving Game Pass on June 30

The upcoming update for Xbox Game Pass will remove the following titles from the service:

• Payday 2: Crimewave Edition

• Mecha Break

• Rise of the Tomb Raider

• Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

• Slay the Spire

• Ultimate Chicken Horse

• Volcano Princess

• Unpacking

The most notable case is that of Payday 2, which has been part of the service since the launch of Xbox Game Pass on June 1, 2017. It also formed part of Xbox Game Pass Core, now called Xbox Game Pass Essential, since the creation of that subscription tier in September 2023.

Payday 2 bids farewell after more than nine years on Xbox Game Pass

Payday 2 has become one of the titles with the longest presence in the Xbox Game Pass catalog. Its departure will come just a month after it turns nine years old on the service.

According to the information released, it will be only the fourth game to leave the Xbox Game Pass Core/Essential catalog, following Forza Horizon 4, Goat Simulator, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge.

How the Xbox Game Pass catalog looks in June 2026

With these eight removals, Xbox Game Pass will have a total of 13 games removed during June.

At the same time, the service added 17 new titles throughout the month. Thus, June will end with a positive balance of four more games compared to the beginning of the period.

Which games will arrive on Xbox Game Pass in July

The next change in the catalog will be on July 2, when subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Premium will receive Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4.
