President Noboa delivered tactical vehicles to strengthen national security

The Executive allocated multipurpose armored vehicles to intensify the fight against organized crime

President Daniel Noboa delivered 51 armored tactical vehicles to the Armed Forces in Manabí. The measure aims to strengthen operational capabilities against drug trafficking and terrorism.

The vehicles, including 45 DAVID 4×4 and 6 Mbombe 6×6, feature cutting-edge technology; these vehicles have been incorporated into control and patrol missions in critical areas of the country.

The Minister of Defense highlighted that the armored vehicles have been added to more than 100 units previously delivered in 2024. The Government prioritizes modernization and maintenance projects for the military fleet.

In his speech, Noboa stated that "state resources can't be allowed to remain unused." The president affirmed that this delivery is part of a comprehensive national security strategy.

He also mentioned that these units will benefit both military personnel and police officers from the Security Block. The objective is to coordinate efforts to protect citizens.

The armored vehicles are designed to withstand firearms and operate on all types of terrain. Their use is especially directed at complex urban and rural operations.

The delivery includes specialized equipment, such as armor systems and transport capacity for up to 12 soldiers. The plan seeks to increase effectiveness in the fight against organized crime.

With the incorporation of modern tactical vehicles, Noboa reaffirmed his commitment to citizen security. The action is part of a policy to strengthen institutions and operations in the face of criminal threats.
