President Donald Trump received this Monday afternoon at the White House owners of SMEs from all over the country to pay tribute to them for their work. The event was held to celebrate Small Business Week, a date where American entrepreneurs, innovators and dreamers are honored
.“Congratulations to the small business entrepreneurs of the year from all 50 states. It's an important achievement and they can be proud of themselves,” Trump said during the event. “Our country is made up of a lot of small companies and that ends up becoming a really big company
.”The president highlighted the measures taken by his government to favor the 36 million small businesses across the country, which generate 40% of all economic activity in the United States. These accomplishments include the One Big Beautiful Bill passed last year, a law that cuts taxes and regulations. “I mean, thanks to these tax cuts, 12 million small American businesses got an average tax cut of more than $7,000,” Trump said.
Andrew Saville, president of a small company based in Georgia, spoke at the event to thank Trump for his tariff plan, stating that it brought jobs back to the United States. He also recalled that during the Biden administration, workers' salaries fell
