Attack in Kfar Yona: 8 injured after being run over by a terrorist
The injured are all IDF soldiers. The search for the striker continues
Israeli Police arrested a suspect for collaborating with the terrorist attack carried out this Thursday near Kfar Yona, where eight IDF soldiers were injured after being rammed by a vehicle at a bus stop.
The attack, described as "intentional" by the authorities, prompted a large deployment of security forces in the area.
The attack occurred in the afternoon, when a vehicle sped toward the soldiers waiting at a bus stop.
"I saw the destroyed stop, broken glass, and eight injured people. Three of them were thrown about 49 feet (15 meters) into the field behind the stop. Everyone was conscious and told us the car appeared suddenly, hit them, and fled," said Idan Shina, a motorcycle paramedic from Magen David Adom (MDA).

Emergency teams performed the initial triage with the help of bystanders guided by phone by the MDA command center.
Two young people around 20 years old were treated at the scene for moderate chest and limb injuries. Three other injured are in mild to moderate condition, and three more are in mild condition.
The injured were transported to several hospitals in the region: Laniado Medical Center in Netanya, Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba, and Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera. The families of all the soldiers were notified.
The Police continue the search for the terrorist, deploying special units, drones, helicopters, motorized patrols, and canine teams in an area covering open spaces and escape routes.
Explosive ordnance disposal experts and criminal identification units are examining the vehicle to collect evidence.
The Police Commissioner and the Chief of Central Operations conducted a situational assessment at the scene of the attack. Additionally, the Central Command ordered the alert level to be raised in all rapid response units of nearby communities.
The attack occurs at a time of heightened tension in Israel, with an increase in attempted ramming attacks, a tactic previously used by Palestinian terrorists in crowded areas.
The investigation is ongoing and further arrests in connection with the attack are not ruled out.
