Public transportation crisis in Nuevo León worsens
Lack of units, high rates, and poor service affect citizens
The public transportation crisis in N. L. has reached critical levels, affecting thousands of users who depend daily on buses, metro, and taxis to get around.
The shortage of units, the increase in fares, as well as the deficiency in service, have caused widespread discontent among the population meanwhile the state authorities have not managed to provide concrete solutions.
Deficit of units and long waits
One of the main problems is the lack of urban buses, which has caused long waiting times at stops and terminals.
Currently, many routes operate with fewer units than necessary, forcing passengers to wait up to an hour to board a bus.

Despite the state government's announcements about the arrival of new units, citizens report that the lack of transportation persists.
Additionally, Metrorrey has faced multiple mechanical failures and delays, further complicating mobility in the metropolitan area.
High fares and poor service
Another aspect that has caused outrage is the cost of public transportation. In recent months, there have been increases in fares, with the justification of improving the service.
However, users claim that the service remains poor, with units in bad condition, overcrowding, and lack of maintenance.

The discontent has been reflected on social media, where citizens have demanded that Samuel García's government fulfill its promises to modernize transportation.
Nevertheless, the solutions have been insufficient and the crisis continues to affect the daily mobility of thousands of people.
Failed attempts at a solution
The state government has announced various projects to improve transportation such as the purchase of new buses along with the expansion of the Metro.
But so far the promise of modernization has not materialized and complaints about poor service continue to rise. Mobility experts warn that without adequate logistics, with a real investment, the transportation crisis in Nuevo León will continue to worsen.
Which would cause a deterioration in economic activity, collaterally damaging the quality of life in Monterrey.
In light of this situation, citizens demand that the government implement effective measures to ensure dignified, safe, and accessible transportation for everyone.
