The current Secretary of Public Education took courses from Keith Raniere's organization, convicted of abuse and sex trafficking.

Mario Delgado, current head of the SEP, was a member of the organization NXIVM, the sect led by Keith Raniere, who is currently serving a 120-year prison sentence for child sexual exploitation and child pornography.

Delgado, who was previously Secretary of Finance and Public Education in CDMX, took courses in the Executive Success Program (ESP), a subsidiary of NXIVM in Mexico.

Former members of the sect have confirmed that Delgado was part of the Society of Protectors (SOP), an alternate group within NXIVM.

This group promoted female submission and male domination, in line with the teachings of Keith Raniere, who led the sect under a system of slavery.

NXIVM presented itself as an organization of “human development and leadership,” but in reality, it operated as a network of abuse and sexual slavery.

Founded in 1998 and based in Albany, New York, the sect had a significant presence in Mexico, where it recruited politicians, businessmen, and celebrities.

Investigations revealed that Keith Raniere oversaw a system in which women were branded with his initials and forced to obey him.

Evidence against Mario Delgado

The media outlet Animal Político obtained receipts proving that Mario Delgado paid 50 dollars monthly for six months in 2016, while he was a senator, to be part of the Society of Protectors (SOP).

On its website, now deleted, SOP claimed that its mission was “to strengthen men to make them more powerful.”

SOP's teachings promoted male domination and control, reflecting NXIVM's values.

Mario Delgado's silence

When Mario Delgado's relationship with NXIVM came to light, his only response was to say that “he was deceived”.

However, he never explained why he paid monthly to an organization accused of sexual slavery.

Additionally, he never replied to Animal Político's questions about the payment receipts linking him to the sect.

To this day, Delgado hasn't clarified what his role within NXIVM was or if he traveled to the headquarters in Albany.

The most alarming thing is that the Morena government keeps him at the head of the SEP, in charge of the education of millions of children and young people in Mexico.
