The 2025 Copa Libertadores final already has a confirmed venue

The most important club-level tournament on the continent is returning to the same stadium for this year's decisive match

The final of the current edition of the Copa Libertadores de América will be played on Saturday, November 29 at the Monumental de Lima, as confirmed this Monday by CONMEBOL. The news was made official through the social media of its president, Alejandro Domínguez, who announced the choice of Universitario's stadium.

"The great CONMEBOL Libertadores 2025 Single Final will be played in Lima!See you on November 29 to experience together a new edition of the Eternal Glory", highlighted Domínguez on his social media.

In relation to this, the president of the South American entity met with the Peruvian president Dina Boluarte. "This confirms our country as one of the most attractive destinations on the continent. The government has committed to providing all the necessary guarantees for the success of the continental event just as we will do with the Bolivarian Games", highlighted the president.

"We appreciate the trust of CONMEBOL for accepting our country's bid as host of the most important event of the king of sports in the Americas", added Boluarte.

Thus, it will be the second time that the Monumental de Lima hosts the definition of the most important tournament on the continent, since in 2019 it was also the venue for the final that Flamengo from Brazil won against River Plate by 2 to 1, becoming champion. Additionally, it will also be the second occasion in which a venue is repeated (the Maracanã hosted the finals of 2020 and 2023),

The Monumental de Lima stadium has a capacity for 80,093 spectators, being the second largest in South America, only surpassed by the Monumental Más of River Plate, which can accommodate 85,018 people.

The venues of the single finals of the Libertadores

The single-match finals are something relatively new. The first time this modality was implemented was precisely in the 2019 edition, but the originally designated stadium had been the Monumental de Santiago de Chile. The change of venue to the Monumental de Lima was due to the social conflicts that affected the organization of the event.
