The field sent out a clear signal again.
Confidence in the agricultural sector reached its highest level in nine years in March 2026, in line with the economic direction promoted by the government of Javier Milei.According to the Agricultural Entrepreneur Confidence Index (ICEA), prepared by the CREA Movement, the indicator climbed to 70 points, well above the historical average of 48.
A jump that confirms the change in expectations
The growth of the index is no lower. It represents an increase of 4.5% compared to November 2025 and 7.7%
year-on-year.In addition, it consolidates a positive trend that has been strengthening since mid-2025, with better perceptions of both the present and the future.
Strong improvement in current conditions
One of the most relevant data is the leap in the evaluation of the present.
The current conditions sub-index reached 65 points, with an increase of 13.8%, reflecting a more favorable context for productive activity.
This indicates that the impact of economic policies is already beginning to be felt on the ground.

High expectations, but with caution
The expectations sub-index was 75 points, remaining at
high levels. However, it registered a slight decline compared to the previous measurement, reflecting some caution in the short term, in a context still marked by volatility.
Agriculture improves more than the general economy
A key fact of the report is that the improvement of the agricultural sector exceeds the perception of the economy in
general. While the evaluation of the national context showed a slight decline, the situation of companies in the sector grew strongly.
The business situation index reached 70 points, the highest level since 2017.
