Artemis II: what time does the NASA mission take off and how to see it live from Argentina

NASA is preparing for the launch of Artemis II, the mission that will take astronauts to orbit the Luna for the first time since 1972.

The liftoff is scheduled for this Wednesday, April 1, from the Kennedy Space Center, with a live broadcast to the entire world.

At what time is the launch of Artemis II in Argentina

The firing of the SLS rocket is scheduled for 19:24 (Argentine time), while the start of the broadcast will be at 17:45.

This is the first launch window, although there are alternative dates of April 2, 3, 6 and 30 in case of technical or weather problems

.

NASA clarified that the schedule can be modified depending on weather conditions.

Where to watch the launch live

The event can be followed online through official NASA platforms.

• NASA+ (official platform)

• NASA YouTube

• Amazon Prime Video

The coverage will include real-time technical commentary

and full liftoff monitoring.

What is Artemis II and why is it key

Artemis II is a manned mission that seeks to test the Orion ship in deep space conditions. A moon landing is not planned, but orbital maneuvers around the Moon are planned before returning

to Earth.

NASA considers this flight to be essential for future missions with

lunar descent.

What will happen during the launch

After liftoff, the ship will reach Earth orbit in approximately 8 minutes. It will then reach a height of about 160 kilometers before activating a second key impulse.

At this stage, mission-critical systems will be put into operation.

Which systems will be tested During the

flight, different life support and ship control systems will be evaluated

.

• Oxygen and carbon dioxide removal system

• Manual ship control

• Water supply and basic functions for the crew

These tests are key to validating the safety of future manned missions

.

A key step to return to the Moon The

mission will also serve to test long-distance communications and heat shields. NASA points out that Artemis II is a central step for sustained human return

to deep space.

The expectation is that the launch will mark a new chapter in space exploration.
