The rise of Santiago Beltrán is beginning to transcend the borders of Argentine football. The goalkeeper of River, established as an important piece of the team and currently called up to the Argentine National Team, is on the radar of several European giants, with Atlético de Madrid being one of the clubs that could pursue him in the upcoming transfer market.
According to Spanish media, the team managed by Diego Simeone has the young goalkeeper among its main alternatives in light of the possibility that Jan Oblak may end his cycle at the club. The Slovenian has been with the Colchonero for 12 years, and his continuity for the next season is still not guaranteed.

So far, there have been no formal contacts between the Colchonero and the Millonario, although in Núñez they understand that the interest could translate into a proposal when the next transfer period opens. Should the situation progress towards a negotiation, the management aims for at least 15 million euros.

Currently, Beltrán has a contract until December 2027, but the intention is to extend it, improve his salary conditions and also raise his release clause from 25 to 100 million euros.
