This fact is in addition to a series of recent incidents that raise alarm due to the growing wave of anti-Semitism in Europe.

A new episode of violence set off alarm bells in the United Kingdom after counter-terrorism police launched an investigation into an arson attack on a synagogue in North London.

The event, which occurred during the early morning hours, left no injuries or material damage, but it once again focuses on the increase in incidents against the Jewish community in Europe.

According to authorities, two hooded suspects threw bottles containing flammable liquid and other objects at the religious building.

However, the devices failed to ignite, avoiding major consequences. Even so, the case is being treated as a possible hate crime of an anti-Semitic nature, in a context of growing concern about this type of attack

.

The intervention of the anti-terrorist unit reflects the seriousness with which the British authorities evaluate these types of incidents, even when they do not materialize. In recent months, there has been an increase in similar events, including attacks on properties linked to the Jewish community, which has led to the strengthening of security measures in different areas of London

This episode does not occur in isolation. Weeks ago, other arson attacks against ambulances by a Jewish organization had been reported, evidencing a worrying escalation in this

type of aggression.

From a critical perspective, the case reopens the debate on the capacity of European States to guarantee internal security in a context of social tensions, radicalization and international conflicts that have repercussions within their own borders.

The lack of strong responses to these episodes fuels the perception of vulnerability, especially in communities that have historically been the target of attacks.

In addition, the growth of hate crimes raises questions about security policies and the role of authorities to prevent such events before they escalate

.

The combination of ideological violence, impunity and difficulties in controlling certain sources of radicalization creates an increasingly complex scenario.

The attempted attack on the synagogue leaves a clear signal: the problem of anti-Semitism is still prevalent in Europe and represents a direct challenge to democratic systems, which must respond firmly to prevent these events from recurring or escalating in seriousness.
