Although Alen Zheng is currently in China, it was reported that both are U.S. citizens and appear to reside in a city in Florida. The brothers had originally fled to the Asian country after planting the explosive and could face up to 30 years in prison.
“A person is in custody for complicity and manipulation of evidence, and the main suspect is accused of explosive crimes and is currently in China,” Patel added, noting that the FBI “will continue to prosecute all those responsible to ensure that they are brought to justice.” The possibility that the Iranian regime is operating “sleeper cells” in the US is being investigated.
