In the last three days, Garrahan has added 200 new beds and is accelerating the renewal of its hospitalization system.

Garrahan Hospital accelerates a historic renovation process with the addition of 310 state-of-the-art beds, designed to replace equipment with almost four decades of use. The investment marks a breaking point in the infrastructure of the country's main pediatric hospital and aims to immediately improve hospitalization conditions

.

In this context, in recent days the hospital has gained a key boost: in just three days it incorporated 200 new units, accelerating a replacement that was delayed for years. The measure is part of the most ambitious construction plan in the institution's history, promoted by the national government to comprehensively modernize

its facilities.
The total investment allocated to the purchase of the beds exceeds $1.4 billion and will allow 100% of the hospitalization equipment to be renewed.

These are highly complex electrical units, with remote control, automated lifting systems and multiple adjustments that optimize both patient comfort and the working conditions of medical personnel

.

The purchase process was carried out through a public tender, with the participation of ten companies and a total of 29 offers. The hospital management highlighted the transparency of the procedure and emphasized that efficient resource management freed up funds to implement the most ambitious infrastructure plan in the history of

Garrahan.

Beyond the renovation of beds, the project envisages a global investment of close to $30 billion. It includes expansions, remodeling of critical areas, improvements to inpatient rooms, modernization of operating rooms and new facilities for health personnel. The objective is to raise the hospital's standards and consolidate it as a benchmark in Latin America

.

Cutting-edge technology and new area of radiation therapy

In parallel with the building and equipment renovation, the hospital also made progress in the incorporation of state-of-the-art medical technology. Among the most important developments is the installation of a tomosimulator, a key piece of equipment for planning pediatric cancer

treatments.

This device joins the linear accelerator incorporated months ago and is part of the creation of a new radiation therapy area within the hospital. The initiative is part of the National Plan for Nuclear Medicine and aims to improve the precision and safety of treatments for childhood cancer

The new technology allows for a more accurate location of tumors and a more efficient planning of therapies, reducing the impact on healthy tissues and improving clinical outcomes. This is a qualitative leap in the hospital's capacity to treat complex pathologies

.

With these additions, Garrahan not only modernizes its structure, but is also moving towards a care model based on cutting-edge technology, efficiency and medical quality, consolidating its position as one of the most important pediatric centers in the region.
