The Government of Javier Milei deported 18 illegal immigrants after a series of migratory control operations carried out in the province of Salta, as part of a coordinated deployment between federal forces and national agencies in areas close to the border with Bolivia.
The actions were carried out under the guidelines of the Ministry of National Security, with the participation of the Federal Investigations Department (DFI) of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA), the National Directorate of Migration (DNM) and the collaboration of the Argentine National Gendarmerie (GNA).
The procedures were concentrated on strategic points in the north of the country, with the objective of strengthening security in border corridors.
The operative.
The main operation took place on April 24 on National Route 34, in the town of Aguaray, located a few kilometers from the border with Bolivia. There, controls were carried out on different means of transport, including long-distance buses, buses, buses, private vehicles, remittances
and vans.
During that day, the authorities identified a total of 423 people using tools such as the Morpho Rap ID systems, the Federal Police Communications System (SIFCOP) and the Migration database. Of the total, 315 were Argentine citizens and 93 were foreigners who had entered the country on a regular basis

However, the procedure made it possible to detect 15 foreign citizens in an irregular migratory situation, 14 of Bolivian nationality and one Colombian, who were deported by land through the Salvador Mazza-Yacuiba border crossing and placed at the disposal of the Bolivian National Police.
Among the cases identified, the authorities indicated that a Colombian citizen had a repeated history of theft in the city of Bogotá, while one of the Bolivian citizens had a history of drug trafficking, which reinforced the decision to move forward with his immediate expulsion.

In this context, more than 70 people were identified, without any migratory irregularities being registered in that
instance.
On a second day, the operations moved to the intersection of National Routes No. 34 and 50, in the city of Pichanal, another key point linked to the border crossings of Salvador Mazza and Aguas Blancas. As a result, 671 people were identified, of whom 583 were Argentines and 85 were foreigners with regular income. However, three Bolivian citizens were detected in an irregular situation, who were referred by the National Directorate of Migration to the Aguas Blancas border crossing to confirm their expulsion from the country.
In total, the procedures ended in the deportation of 18 illegal immigrants, in a series of operations to strengthen controls in sensitive areas of the country.
