The discovery of five human fetuses in waste bags inside a private clinic in Villa Ballester sparked a high-impact investigation in the Buenos Aires suburbs. Justice analyzes whether behind the case there was a structure linked to the illegal appropriation and possible commercialization
of babies.
The investigation originated more than a thousand kilometers away, after the disappearance of a 12-year-old girl in Santiago del Estero, pregnant as a result of abuse. Based on that complaint, the authorities were able to trace the minor to the GBA health center, where she was found with her mother after giving birth, under circumstances that have not yet been clarified
. Complex crime personnel found all five dismembered fetuses in waste bags.
At the time of the operation, the medical director of the facility denied that the girl was hospitalized. However, the troops managed to find both the minor, who had already given birth, and her mother inside the place. As it transpired, the woman said she did not know if the baby had survived the birth, which further deepened the mystery surrounding the case
.
During the inspection of the facility, researchers made the most disturbing finding: five dead human fetuses, stored in consortium bags inside the waste area.
According to police sources, the bodies showed signs of dismemberment, a fact that reinforces the hypothesis that these would not be isolated events, but rather repeated practices within the place.
In addition, in the procedure, handwritten documentation was seized with internal records that will now be analyzed by the Justice. These elements could be key to determining if there was an organized circuit linked to clandestine abortions or to the abduction and commercialization
of newborns. The videos of the discovery generated great impact and shock on social networks.
When the Federal Court of Tres de Febrero ordered the emergency search, the minor and her mother were no longer in the clinic. Faced with this situation, the authorities moved forward with the retention of staff and managers of the establishment, while the search to establish the baby's whereabouts continues
.
The case was left in the hands of UFI No. 7 of San Martín, which is investigating a possible network of trafficking in persons and the possible commission of crimes linked to the illegal appropriation of minors. The file seeks to reconstruct what happened inside the clinic and to determine responsibility in a case that, due to its seriousness, could expose a larger-scale criminal plot
