Amid the rumors that had been circulating for months, Mauro Icardi's representative came out to set the record straight in a forceful manner. Elio Letterio Pino, the agent of the forward who currently plays for Galatasaray, dismissed any possibility of the player returning to Argentina to join a local team.

The speculations had linked the striker with clubs like River Plate, Racing Club, and Newell’s Old Boys, but all of that was put to rest after the representative's statements. According to journalist Leo Paradizo on Lape Club Social, Pino sent an audio message where he was very direct about the situation.

“I don’t understand why they have been talking about River, Racing, or Newell’s for three months. We haven’t spoken to anyone,” the agent expressed in the voice message. The strongest phrase came immediately after: “Mauro is not interested in playing in Argentina.”

Complete denial of the rumors

With all due respect to the local football clubs, Pino made it clear that it is not an option they are interested in. He also criticized the uproar that was created around this news, describing it as “a media circus” that would soon come to an end. For him, the atmosphere surrounding these rumors had become complicated.

These words come at a key moment for Icardi's future. Although doubts about his continuity at Galatasaray are circulating, his closest circle confirms that for now there are no plans to return to the Professional League. The forward is in Argentina with China Suárez, enjoying time with his daughters in a family setting.

Paradizo had explicit authorization to share the audio, which gave more weight to the information. In this way, the speculations that had gained traction in recent months and had excited several fans of big teams came to an end.
