In the past few hours, Iran carried out the execution of three people convicted of their participation in the protests that took place at the beginning of the year. Among those executed was Saleh Mohammadi, a 19-year-old youth wrestler who had represented
the country internationally.As reported by the Iranian Judiciary through the Mizan agency, the three convicted, Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi and Saeid Davudi, were hanged in the city of Qom after being found guilty of murder and of “carrying out operational actions for Israel and the United States”. The ruling included the crime of moharebeh (enmity against God), a legal figure used in the country to punish actions against public safety and the Islamic
order.According to the official version, the events date back to January 8, when the defendants allegedly attacked two security officers with knives in different parts of Qom, causing their death. The authorities maintained that the detainees confessed during the judicial process and that the sentences were confirmed by the Supreme Court after the completion of the
