The case of violence registered at the National University of Lanús (UNLa) added a new chapter after the discovery of a fact that deepens the controversy: professor Juan Tumini, who was identified in films as one of the aggressors of libertarian students, is the son of Humberto Tumini, a former member of the People's Revolutionary Army (ERP).
The episode occurred during a student activity on the university campus, where members of the Crear + Libertad group —linked to La Libertad Avanza— set up a table to distribute brochures. According to audiovisual records and testimonies, within a few minutes they were rebuked and attacked by a group of left-wing people led by the
teacher.
Who is Humberto Tumini The controversy deepened when the aggressor's
family bond became known. Juan Tumini is the son of Humberto Tumini, a former member of the People's Revolutionary Army (ERP), one of the main guerrilla organizations that operated in Argentina during the 1970s.
Humberto Tumini was an active part of that armed structure and, over time, continued his career in politics, being one of the founders of the Free Homeland Space and later leader of the Free of the South movement, linked for years to Kirchnerism
and of which Juan is a militant.Humrberto himself has publicly acknowledged his participation in the ERP and defended that past in different interviews, in which he argued that the armed struggle was a response to the political context of the time. His figure was associated with the revolutionary militancy of the 70s and with the left-wing sectors that vindicate that period

Juan Tumini, who starred in the most violent scenes, was identified among the aggressors. In the videos released, he is seen threatening students, trying to take away their cell phones and physically advancing against them. The situation escalated rapidly and resulted in blows, pushes and moments of
