The Parr family will return to the big screen with a third adventure that will focus on Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack; Pixar revealed new images, story details, and confirmed the release date
The news was presented during the D23 2026, the Disney event held in Anaheim, California, where the studio unveiled some of its main film projects for the coming years.
The third film in the saga was originally announced in 2024, although for a long period, details about its development were scarce. Now, Pixar confirmed that The Incredibles 3 will premiere on June 16, 2028, almost exactly ten years after the release of the second installment.
The news sparked excitement among fans of a story that began in 2004 and turned Bob, Helen, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack into some of Pixar's most recognized characters.
When will The Incredibles 3 be released
The Incredibles 3 will hit theaters on June 16, 2028. Thus, the third film will premiere 24 years after the original production and a decade after The Incredibles 2, which arrived in theaters in June 2018.
The production will also have a significant change behind the camera. Peter Sohn will be in charge of directing, while Brad Bird, the creator of the saga and director of the first two films, will remain involved as a writer and executive producer.
Sohn has an extensive career within Pixar. Among his most notable works are the direction of The Good Dinosaur and Elemental. Additionally, he has participated in various studio productions throughout his career.
