The "Ceuta Liberation" plan, disseminated by a platform linked to Moroccan defense, proposes a hypothetical military operation against Spanish territory

The territorial integrity of Spain in its autonomous cities faces one of its darkest hours, besieged by the growing hostility of Morocco and morally disarmed by the inaction of the socialist government of Pedro Sánchez. In the midst of escalating tension and on the eve of the Moroccan legislative elections scheduled for September 23, the regime in Rabat has intensified its aggressive sovereignty campaign over the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla.

As reported by journalist Bárbara Saavedra on August 24, 2026, this dangerous offensive of agitation and military propaganda has reached unprecedented levels with the dissemination of a supposed tactical plan to capture Ceuta in a lightning operation lasting only two to five hours.

The maneuver, provocatively named Ceuta Liberation, has been propagated by Defense Atlas (self-styled Atlantic Defense and Armament Observatory). This platform, which operates through website, forum, magazine, and radio, systematically acts as a mouthpiece for the strategic interests of Rabat in its disputes with Spain, Algeria, and Western Sahara.

Although the details of this plan were revealed by Vozpópuli clarifying that it is not an official document, the simulation of aggression is disseminated with the clear intention of undermining national morale and presenting Moroccan dominance as something inevitable.

According to this propaganda platform, military estimates and initial security analyses indicate that the Spanish Army will not be able to stop any Moroccan military movement towards the occupied cities, resorting to the usual insulting language that labels the historic Spanish plazas as colonized territories under supposed occupation.

The planning of the hypothetical military invasion is detailed in depth through an infographic in English, exposing an alarming technical and logistical deployment designed to overwhelm Spanish garrisons:

The use of Turkish-made combat drones Bayraktar TB2, whose primary function would be to locate and destroy high-value targets and serve as designators for medium and long-range artillery fire.

The mobilization of aerial surveillance drones Thunder B, tasked with monitoring the battlefield in real-time to surgically coordinate the movements of special forces and artillery batteries.

The infiltration of highly specialized commandos on combat diving missions aimed at penetrating the Spanish rear. These units would undertake critical tasks such as selective ambushes, direct assaults on bunkers, and the systematic breaching of the city's defensive barriers.

The massive use of anti-tank missiles to neutralize the Leopard armored vehicles of the Spanish Army.

The implementation of anti-air defenses to shield the Alaouite advance against a potential counteroffensive from Spanish air defense forces, all combined with advanced electronic warfare tactics.

With arrogance, the platform claims that the Moroccan Army is capable of rapidly deploying within Ceuta in a surprising, swift, and overwhelming manner using tactics aimed at completely neutralizing Spanish forces.

This barrage of warmongering propaganda does not arise from nowhere, but acts as the logical continuation of the serious border assault on July 30, when a massive illegal invasion of over 80,000 clandestine immigrants breached the border defenses of Ceuta.

That dramatic episode has served to fuel chauvinism in Morocco, encouraging narratives that question Spain's ability to defend its own borders and normalizing the expansionist ambitions of Rabat. In line with this escalation, the Moroccan Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi, has stepped forward to claim a supposed "historical right" of the Alaouite kingdom over both Spanish sovereign territories.

In the face of this grave combination of massive assaults on land borders, explicit military threats, and direct political affronts against our integrity, the management of the Pedro Sánchez government constitutes an alarming exercise in dereliction of duty.

The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, in a display of political cynicism, even defended the supposed loyalty of Morocco despite the catastrophic mass entry on July 30 and the incessant subsequent territorial claims.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has opted for a complicit and incomprehensible silence, refusing to undertake any form of diplomatic measure or formal protest against the Rabat government following the intolerable statements of its Minister of Justice.

Thus, while the spokespeople of Mohamed VI multiply messages pointing to the Spanish autonomous cities as lands that should be the subject of an imminent camouflaged "liberation" invasion, the Sánchez government insists on sheltering the Alaouite monarch, disastrously neglecting the defense of our national borders and the compatriots of Ceuta and Melilla.

Far from being mere diplomatic frictions, Spanish sovereignty is under one of its worst threats in the face of a constant border assault and propaganda campaigns that seek to force the annexation of sovereign Spanish soil through hybrid warfare tactics and territorial suffocation, all under the indifferent gaze of a national government submissive to foreign interests.
