NATO missile defenses intercepted a new ballistic missile launched from Iran that entered Turkish airspace.

The incident was confirmed by the Turkish Defense Ministry, which reported that the projectile was neutralized by air defense systems deployed by the alliance in the eastern Mediterranean.

According to the official statement, the missile was intercepted before it could cause damage in Turkish territory.

This is the third such incident in just over a week, reflecting growing military tension in the region.

New wave of Iranian missiles in the Middle East

In parallel, the Iranian regime launched a new wave of missiles as part of the operation called “Sadeq Promise 4”

The attack included Kheibar Shekan ballistic missiles, medium-range projectiles developed by Iran with high-powered warheads.

According to the Iranian regime, the missiles were aimed at targets in:

  • Jerusalem

  • Tel Aviv

  • Eilat

The attack left dozens injured in the region

The Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom reported that 58 people were injured after projectiles hit the city of Zarzir, near the border with Lebanon.

Iran threatens US troops

Iran's Revolutionary Guard has also launched threats against US troops deployed in the Middle East

In a statement, the military corps warned that U.S. soldiers must leave the region “immediately”.

Otherwise, he said, they could be “buried under the rubble.”

The threats come in the midst of a military escalation that already involves several countries in the region and keeps NATO forces on alert.
