The controversy surrounding Santiago Maratea added a new chapter after his tense confrontation with Josefina “China” Ansa in Podemos Hablar (Telefe). Amid the repercussions of the solidarity collections he led in recent years, the influencer decided to break the silence and published an extensive disclaimer on his Instagram account to clarify his judicial situation and respond to those who question the fate of
the donations. The conflict is related to a fundraising campaign he promoted to build a shelter for animals. In recent days, versions have circulated about alleged lawsuits and mediations that Maratea would not have submitted to, in addition to a new court complaint to explain how it used
the funds.Faced with these accusations, the content creator assured that the information released does not correspond to what happened and pointed directly at the journalist Fernanda Iglesias, whom he held responsible for disseminating part of those versions.
“It is being said that they made lawsuits and mediations and that I never came forward. That's a lie,” he began by saying in the video, which he recorded as he prepared to leave his house
.As he explained, the two mediations for damages that were mentioned publicly did count on his participation. He even maintained that he himself had promoted one of them.
“That's what Fernanda Iglesias says and it's a lie because not only did I show up at the mediations, but I did them myself,” he remarked.
Santiago Maratea explained why he still did not respond to the demand for the collection
.During his dismissal, Maratea distinguished the previous procedures from a new lawsuit related to the accountability of the money
collected.According to his version, this last court filing was made recently, but he was not yet formally notified because the court would not have ordered his transfer.
“They're saying that they made a demand on me, now yes, for accountability. Let me be held to account for that collection from the dog shelter. What's going on? That demand was made recently and the judge has not yet transferred it,” he explained.
He then clarified that this circumstance does not mean that he is avoiding responding to justice.
“So, I've never been notified yet, but it's not that they haven't found me yet, that lawsuit hasn't even come out,” he added.

The influencer said that he heard about the presentation through the media and that, based on that information, he decided to contact his lawyer to
evaluate a spontaneous presentation.“I'm finding out that a lawsuit was made on me because they put it in the media today. Serious mistake, because now it gives me the opportunity to introduce myself spontaneously, which is what I'm going to do,”
he said. That's when he uttered one of the strongest phrases in his statement: “I don't hide from anything, I show up wherever they want, I don't have any problem”.
However, he also questioned the legitimacy of the claim promoted by an influencer who has been questioning the fulfillment of the campaign's objectives.

According to her story, the woman would have received a transfer of rights from a donor identified as Sara Rocío Frías, who
would have contributed 50 pesos to the collection.Maratea explained that the money raised during that initiative reached 18,500,000 pesos and argued that the plaintiff could not demand a surrender on all the funds based on an individual donation of lower value.
