A new scandal shakes the Argentine university environment, after a series of publications made by a professor at the National Technological University (UTN), Facultad Regional Villa María, went viral on social networks, which sparked a strong controversy over their aggressive and extremist content.

The case became notorious after the dissemination of a message in which the teacher, identified as Francisco Piemontesi, responded to another user with an explicit insult, which quickly generated indignation and questions about the institutional quality and behavior of those who hold positions in the education system.

The teacher used his social networks to express his extremism.

In the following hours, other publications attributed to the same teacher began to circulate, showing even more serious expressions, including references to terrorist attacks that occurred in Argentina and messages that were interpreted as an apology or trivialization of events of

extreme historical sensitivity.

The dissemination of these contents caused strong rejection on social networks, where different users pointed out the incompatibility between this type of behavior and the responsibility involved in performing in the educational field. Public pressure escalated rapidly and there was also a rapid response

.

In this context, the Undersecretary of University Policies of the Nation, Alejandro “El Profe” Álvarez, confirmed that the teacher was disassociated from the university and that, in addition, he is facing an ongoing judicial process. The decision sought to defuse the conflict and to take a stand in the face of the seriousness of the known facts

In line with the direction taken by the national government in educational matters, Alejandro Álvarez's rapid intervention was interpreted as a clear sign of order and institutional responsibility on the part of the national administration. Far from relativising the facts or covering up the situation, the decision to move forward with disengagement and to take legal action reinforces the idea that there is no room for conduct incompatible with the public service, especially in key spaces such as

universities.

The case also exposes a broader problem linked to old standards within the education system, where ideological militancy and inappropriate behavior have been repeatedly pointed out as factors affecting institutional quality.
