The new Toyota Hilux is coming: the changes you will see in the best-selling pickup
Toyota is already testing the new Hilux in Asia. There will be changes in design, interior, and mechanics, with a possible hybrid system
The best-selling pickup truck in the country is getting ready to receive an update. In Thailand, the first test units with visible design changes are already on the road.
Although this is not a new generation, this aesthetic update could mark a turning point for the domestic Toyota Hilux. Everything indicates that it will be unveiled at the end of 2025.

What new features does the Hilux redesign bring?
The spy photos from Asia show a Hilux with less camouflage. This made it possible to identify several changes in the front area, such as a new grille and redesigned headlights.
There are also updates on the sides, where an integrated bar in the cargo bed stands out. This detail has already appeared in other versions, but it is not part of the line-up sold in Argentina.
Will there be changes inside?
The images do not show the cabin, but an evolution in materials, technology, and comfort is expected. Toyota would seek to improve the onboard experience.

At the rear, the headlights also appear to have been modified. Under the camouflage, more modern lines can be seen that aim to reinforce the renewed aesthetics.
Engine and mild hybrid system
Everything indicates that the brand would keep the well-known 2.8 turbo diesel engine with 204 hp and 500 Nm. In other markets, it is already combined with a 48V mild hybrid system, which could arrive in the Argentine version.

The transmission would remain the six-speed automatic with torque converter. The 4x4 drive with low range would also be maintained, ideal for demanding terrains.
When will it be launched and when will it arrive in Argentina?
The new Hilux 2025 would have its world premiere in Thailand at the end of this year. That market is usually the first to receive the new versions of the pickup truck.
After its debut, the update would arrive in Argentina. It is expected that the Zárate plant will adapt its production line to replicate the changes seen in Asia.
