The political tension over the management of public funds has added a controversial chapter. The Court of Accounts announced that it will install a permanent delegation inside the state-owned company Caminos de las Sierras. The objective is to carry out a direct technical audit of the company's financial movements.
The measure, ordered by Resolution 149, seeks to shed light on a fund that has been historically questioned. The opposition criticizes that the Executive uses this corporation to execute public works while dodging bidding controls. The oversight body now intends to monitor every cent of taxpayers' money from the inside.
This offensive for transparency is taking place while the blockade on the purchase of drones for US$7.2 million. remains in place. The ruling party accuses opposition board members of wanting to paralyze the administration through bureaucratic obstacles. However, doubts about the costs of the security technology keep growing.

Doubts about the multimillion-dollar costs
The controversy centers on the alleged overpricing in the tender that was preliminarily awarded to the Vantac-Huinoil joint venture. Members of the Juez-led bloc compared this expenditure with a purchase by Santa Fe for just US$1.5 million. They warn that the difference in amounts is unjustifiable for the provincial coffers.
La tensión política por el manejo de los fondos públicos sumó un capítulo polémico.
Minister Juan Pablo Quinteros described the comparison as "bad faith" and defended the amount of the investment. He argued that the neighboring province acquired empty platforms without batteries or operating systems. According to the official, Córdoba is contracting a comprehensive turnkey service that is impossible to compare.
The opposition insists that the bid specifications are a "tailor-made suit" designed to favor a single bidder. They maintain that grouping 29 different items into a single line eliminates real price competition. This lack of competition is what prevents validation of whether the State is paying what it should.
