After Boca's elimination from the Copa Argentina against Atlético Tucumán, the club began to make moves in the transfer market. In the early hours of Thursday, the first departure was confirmed: Esteban Rolón will terminate his contract with the institution.

His contract with Xeneize was set to expire in December 2026, but since he was not considered by the coach, he chose to leave as a free agent to seek a new destination at the close of the transfer window.
Rolón had arrived at Boca in mid-2021, coming from Huracán and also with Russo as coach. In August 2023, he was loaned to Belgrano for 18 months, but at the beginning of 2025, he returned to the club, where he only played minutes in a summer friendly under the brief tenure of Fernando Gago. Since then, he had been training separately and without real chances of getting playing time.
