Flamengo's qualification for the Copa Libertadores final once again featured Agustín Rossi as a protagonist. The Argentine goalkeeper was one of the standout players in the series against Racing and confirmed his excellent form with the Brazilian team, which reignited speculation about a possible draft to the Argentina National Team.
After the match, the former Boca goalkeeper spoke about his desire to wear the Albiceleste jersey: "I've always said it, even when I was at Boca: if I perform well at my club, at some point I'm going to have the chance to be drafted. But, well… that opportunity still hasn't come," Rossi stated, making it clear that he still holds on to his dream.
At 30 years old, the goalkeeper is experiencing one of the best moments of his career, established as the undisputed starter for Mengão. However, he knows that the competition for a spot in Argentina's goal is fierce: "One always waits for the chance and hopefully it will come at some point. I'm not the one who decides; my job is to keep proving match after match that I have the level for a draft."
