The American streamer IShowSpeed, one of the figures with millions of followers on his platforms, was once again ridiculed during the 2026 World Cup. This time, it happened during the match where the Argentine National Team defeated Egypt.

One of the most talked-about moments occurred when Lionel Messi missed the penalty against goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir. Positioned behind the goal, Speed made gestures towards the Argentine captain and then claimed, in his delirium, that he had influenced the execution by distracting the player.

Throughout the match, the content creator also celebrated every goal by the Egyptian team, an attitude that did not go unnoticed by Argentine fans.

However, the course of the match changed completely with the comeback of the Albiceleste, who ended up winning to advance to the next stage of the tournament. After the result, many fans took their revenge and began to point out that Speed was "cursed," as the teams he recently supported ended up eliminated.

Social media posts recalled that, in recent days, the streamer had publicly backed Portugal, the United States, and Brazil, teams that also got knocked out of the World Cup in the round of 16.

The same situation had occurred earlier during the match between Argentina and Cape Verde, when his presence also led to comments and memes among fans.
