The exports of the Argentine agro-industrial sector reached a new historical record during the first half of 2026, as highlighted by the Minister of Economy, Luis “Toto” Caputo, through a message shared on the social network X.
The data reflects a sustained growth in both volumes and value, in a context of expanding export activity and product diversification.
According to official information, between January and June, agro-industrial exports grew by 15% in volume compared to the same period in 2025, totaling 63 million tons. In terms of value, sales abroad reached USD 27.447 billion, representing an 18% year-on-year increase.

Regarding destinations, the Government emphasized the consolidation and expansion of markets. Vietnam, China, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Algeria, Indonesia, Peru, Malaysia, India, and Egypt emerged as the main buyers of Argentine agro-industrial products. Together, these ten countries accounted for more than 53% of the total volume exported during the semester.
With these results, the Government highlights the role of agriculture as a driver of foreign currency generation and reinforces the relevance of the sector in the country's economic growth, in a scenario marked by the expansion of exports and the consolidation of new commercial destinations.
