All candidates for the legislative elections in the City of Buenos Aires
In a fragmented scenario, the main political spaces have already defined their candidates
Facing the legislative elections in the City of Buenos Aires, the main political spaces have already defined their candidates.
Meanwhile, Peronism seeks to unify its proposal, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta presents himself with a new coalition, and other sectors try to take advantage of the fragmentation of the political scene.
Although the deadline for the presentation of lists expires on Saturday, March 29, almost all forces have already announced their main figures. One of the most anticipated definitions was that of La Libertad Avanza, the party of President Javier Milei, which finally confirmed Manuel Adorni as its candidate.
"With Manuel Adorni, we're going to bring the chainsaw to the City," they expressed from the party's official account on X, along with an image of the current presidential spokesperson holding the iconic golden chainsaw of "Las Fuerzas del Cielo."

On the other hand, in PRO, the candidacy of Silvia Lospennato responds to a strategic decision by Mauricio Macri, Jorge Macri, and María Eugenia Vidal.
PRO's campaign will focus on hiding the current problems of the City and highlighting the achievements reached from Macri's administration to date, differentiating itself from LLA.
María Eugenia Vidal will play a crucial role in the Macri campaign strategy: she will double her tours through the streets of CABA, increase her media appearances, and act as the spokesperson for the space.
Among the alternative candidates, Ramiro Marra seeks a place in the Legislature outside of LLA. After his break with Milei's space, the Buenos Aires legislator leads a list with the UCeDe seal, under the name Libertad y Orden.

Another figure returning to the electoral scene is Horacio Rodríguez Larreta. With a fully crafted and false speech, centered on his "knowledge of the City," the former head of Government presented his coalition under the slogan "Movement for Development."
Peronism and the Left
Peronism and Kirchnerism, meanwhile, will seek to contest seats in the elections with a list headed by Leandro Santoro, who in 2023 was a candidate for head of Government and reached the runoff against Jorge Macri.
His space, "Es Ahora Buenos Aires," attempts to unify the different currents of Buenos Aires Peronism. However, the unity strategy was affected by the decision of the PJ vice president, Juan Abal Medina, to present his own list, "Seamos Libres."
Peronism will also have a third list: Alejandro Kim will lead the proposal of Principios y Valores, the party of Guillermo Moreno. In its launch, Moreno marked distance with Santoro, arguing that his radical past distances him from the "traditional values of Justicialism."

Among the progressive options, Evolución, the space led by Kirchnerist Martín Lousteau, will have as its first candidate the former president of FUBA, Lucille Levy.
Meanwhile, the Left and Workers' Front Unity will bet on the communist and anti-Semitic Vanina Biasi, a space that usually obtains between 5% and 6% of the votes in the City.
Meanwhile, the Civic Coalition will be represented by Paula Oliveto, while Mauricio D'Alessandro will head the list of "Integrar." Yamil Santoro, at the head of Unión Porteña Libertaria, decided not to head the list but will continue to promote his space.
Finally, Confluencia en CABA will debut in the electoral contest with engineer María Eva Koutsovitis as a reference.
