An attack on a Jewish charity in North London has once again set off alarm bells about the security of communities in Europe in the face of the spread of ideological violence.
Two men, aged 45 and 47, were arrested by British police after being found responsible for an attack that destroyed four ambulances belonging to a voluntary medical service in the Golders Green neighborhood.The incident, which occurred during the early morning hours, left no victims, but it did cause significant material damage. The explosions burned down at least four vehicles owned by the Hatzola Northwest organization, a community group that provides free medical assistance and plays a key role in emergency care within the local Jewish community. The absence of injuries is largely explained by the time at which the attack occurred.
The authorities are investigating the background of the attack and are not ruling out links with extremist organizations. As it transpired, the detainees may have connections with the pro-Iranian group Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia. In parallel, the MI5 intelligence service claimed to have thwarted more than 20 recent terrorist attack attempts linked to Iranian-funded networks, many of them aimed at targets of the
