Apple recorded a record revenue from iPhone sales during the fourth quarter of 2026, despite not releasing a standard model in its latest refresh. The company generated US$ 57.580 billion from its phones, a 17% year-on-year increase.
The growth occurred after the launch of the iPhone 18 line in September, which included more expensive Pro and Pro Max versions. The company also raised prices on previous models, while pre-sales of its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, were not included in the reported period.

In the earnings report published on Monday, Apple reported a total revenue of US$ 114.500 billion, 12% more than in the same period last year. In addition to the growth in phones, other segments of the company showed mixed results.
iPhone: US$ 57.580 billion, with a 17% year-on-year increase.
Mac: US$ 10.790 billion, a 24% growth.
Services: US$ 31.570 billion, with revenue coming from App Store commissions and subscriptions like Apple TV and Apple Music.
iPad: US$ 6.230 billion, a 10% decline compared to the same period last year.
The iPhone Duo and memory costs, among Apple's challenges
The company also introduced its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo. However, its pre-sales were not accounted for in the quarterly report. Apple had stated that it had a limited number of units available for sale in stores during the launch, while some estimated shipping dates extended into 2027.
The company also faces supply chain constraints and rising memory costs, factors that led to price increases for various products. During an interview with CNBC, Apple's CEO, John Ternus, explained that memory costs were higher than in the June quarter.

“We saw higher memory costs compared to the June quarter, and that was partially offset by the benefit of having inventory and lower costs for non-memory components,” Ternus stated.
Apple expanded its catalog with new products
In recent weeks, Apple has also made progress in other segments. The company introduced its first smart display device for the home and a line of video doorbells, security cameras, and locks, developed in collaboration with LG and Schneider Electric.

Last week, it also announced a MacBook Pro with a touchscreen, a decision that represents a shift from the stance that its executives had historically maintained regarding this type of technology.
