The national government is advancing its international cooperation strategy against terrorism and organized crime. The Secretary of National Security, Alejandra Monteoliva, and the Secretary of State Intelligence, Sergio Neiffert, signed, together with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), two key agreements that strengthen the strategic alliance between Argentina and the United States.
The first agreement, related to the National Counterterrorism Center (CNA), establishes mechanisms for information exchange and operational cooperation for the early detection of terrorist groups, illicit financing networks, and criminal organizations with transnational reach. The measure aims to improve the Argentine state's capabilities in preventive intelligence and international coordination, in line with the security standards of the Western world.

Meanwhile, the second agreement promotes the reform and modernization of the Argentine Federal Police through training programs, technology transfer, and technical assistance from the FBI to the Federal Investigations Department (DFI). This seeks to professionalize the security forces and strengthen the fight against mafias operating inside and outside the country.
