The Argentine judiciary has upheld the international arrest warrants against Venezuela's narcoterrorist dictator, Nicolás Maduro, and his right-hand man, Diosdado Cabello, who are accused of committing crimes against humanity as part of a systematic plan of persecution, torture, murder, and arbitrary detention against Venezuelan civilians.
The decision confirms the validity of the measures ordered months ago by the Buenos Aires Federal Chamber and reinforces Argentina's commitment to the principles of international law and the defense of human rights.

The judicial ruling is based on the principle of universal jurisdiction, which allows national courts to investigate and prosecute serious crimes against humanity, regardless of where they were committed or the nationality of the victims or perpetrators. The judges found sufficient evidence linking Maduro and Cabello to massive and systematic violations of essential rights in Venezuela since at least 2014.
