A new survey revealed that the ultra-Kirchnerist governor Axel Kicillof faces a complex scenario ahead of the 2027 elections, with a high negative image and a very low support among young people, precisely one of the segments where Javier Milei has significant electoral support.
According to the Zentrix Public Opinion Monitor for July 2026, Kicillof reaches a 51.6% negative image, compared to a 35.4% positive image.
The result shows that the rejection of the Buenos Aires governor exceeds the support, and when analyzing the different segments, differences emerge that clearly indicate where he faces his greatest difficulties.

Strong rejection among young people
The hardest data for Kicillof appears among people aged 18 to 39. In that group, his negative image climbs to 63.4%, while only 21.1% maintain a positive rating. This is his worst age record and marks a significant difficulty for any potential electoral projection.
The contrast becomes relevant when considering that young people are one of the segments that have leaned most towards Milei since 2023.
The image of the leftist governor improves slightly as the age of the respondents increases. Among those aged 40 to 59, the positive rating reaches 37%, while among those over 60 it reaches 41%, his best age record in this survey.
The numbers thus show a support structure more concentrated in older age groups and rejections among younger generations.

Difference between men and women
The difference between men and women is also significant. Among women, Kicillof obtains a 42.9% positive image and 45.4% negative, a much smaller difference than that recorded among men. Among the latter, however, the negative image rises to 57.9%, while the positive falls to 27.7%.
The territorial dimension adds another problem for a potential national candidacy. In Buenos Aires and CABA, Kicillof records a 41.5% positive image, while in the rest of the country the favorable rating drops to 30.2% and the negative reaches 55.9%.
Thus, his best performance is concentrated in the Buenos Aires territory and its area of influence, while outside that space he finds higher levels of rejection.
The survey leaves a defined voter profile for the governor: his support mainly appears among women over 40 years old and residents of the AMBA, while young people and men present the lowest levels of positive valuation.
