The Banking Association reached a new collective agreement and applied a salary update of 2.6% corresponding to April 2026. With this adjustment, the initial salary in the sector has risen again and now clearly exceeds 2.3 million pesos per month.
According to the union led by Sergio Palazzo, the basic initial salary has been set at $2,319,195.20. Additionally, the bonus for Banking Day has seen a significant improvement and is established at $2,067,482.29.
This increase impacts the usual gross remuneration, including conventional additional payments and non-remunerative amounts. In this way, banking employees maintain their position among the highest-paid workers in the Argentine labor market.
With the increase in April, the union has accumulated a 12.3% rise in the first four months of the year, always using December 2025 salaries as a base.
The strategy of monthly updates
From La Bancaria, they emphasized that they will seek to continue with this scheme of monthly reviews to protect purchasing power against inflation. The goal is to avoid any real loss in the income of workers in the sector.
The salary of banking employees is not limited to just the basic pay. It also includes participation in the profits of financial entities through the ROE, various conventional additional payments, and specific bonuses in the sector.
