The match between Sarmiento de Junín and Barracas Central was affected by a violent clash between two factions of the local team's barra brava. The confrontation, which occurred near the stadium before the start of the match, resulted in at least five people being shot, one of them in serious condition.
According to local media, the dispute originated 300 meters from the security ringover control of Sarmiento's stands, which became vacant after the death of one of its historic leaders and is currently contested by six factions, leading to the violent confrontation.
According to witnesses of the brawl, there were "no less than 15 shots" and it ended with four injured, among them Pablo "Pokemón" Farías, a well-known local boxer and leader of one of the barra factions, who suffered a gunshot wound to his right arm. Other injured include Javier Cirulli, with a leg injury, Juan Pablo Coria Cabrera, 27 years old, and Lucas Ezequiel Vera, 33 years old.

At 26 minutes into the first half, the match was interrupted. Although many feared it was a security issue, the operation confirmed that a woman had become unwell and required immediate medical assistance, something the authorities were able to address thanks to the fans' signals to the match referee, Andrés Merlos. Once attended to, the match could continue without much inconvenience, ending in a 1-1 draw, with goals from Magnin for the home team at 65 and Morales for the visitors at 97.
