According to Bloomberg, iOS 19 will include an intelligent system that optimizes energy consumption. It will do this by analyzing usage patterns to know when to reduce energy expenditure in certain apps.

A silent energy assistant

VICE explained that this mechanism collects usage data to act as an automatic assistant. It learns over time and adjusts performance without affecting your daily experience.

You will no longer need to activate "power saving mode" manually. iOS 19 will handle that for you, optimizing each resource based on your day-to-day.

Will only iPhone 17 have these improvements?

The iPhone 17 will be one of the first to fully exploit this feature. It will come with a slimmer design and a smaller battery. That's why it needs extra efficiency.

More than battery: complete redesign of iOS
