Argentina has added a new international breakthrough in the fashion sector. The Danish group Bestseller, one of the most important global players in the industry, confirmed its arrival in the country with an investment of $50 million and an expansion plan that includes the opening of 40 stores in five years. The operation will be carried out by Grupo One, a company comprised of Manuel Antello, Pedro Aguirre Saravia
and Sabine Mulliez.
The European company, founded in 1975 in Denmark and with a presence in 47 markets and more than 3100 stores worldwide, will start its local operation with three brands: Jack & Jones, Only and Balmohk. The landing represents another sign that Argentina is once again being seen by international companies as a market with potential, in a context of greater openness and economic normalization

Grupo One emphasized that the arrival of Bestseller constitutes a long-term commitment to the country. As they explained, the objective is to bring global brands closer to the Argentine consumer with current and accessible proposals, while developing a solid operation, with employment generation and sustained expansion

In a first phase, the company expects to create around 100 direct jobs during the first year. As the commercial network progresses, the projection is to reach about 500 jobs within five years. The initiative joins other recent movements by international groups that began to reposition themselves in the Argentine market after years of retraction
and uncertainty.
The operation will start with three well-defined profile labels. Jack & Jones will focus on urban and casual fashion, with a strong presence of denim, versatile basics and trendy garments. Only will aim at a dynamic proposal, with collections designed for everyday use and the constant renewal of the wardrobe.
